My name is John and I felt compelled to write and make a statement about the experience I went through and now enjoy with my home. I was pretty much down on my luck a couple of months ago. Nothing seemed to be going my way and finances were rough. My credit was a little shady and there weren't too many people that really wanted to help me out. I was living at a friend's home whom I will always trust and thank him to this day for his generosity and compassion toward my situation.
One day I was on the internet looking for a home via Rent-To-Own methods and ran across something on the East side of Columbus, I figured you know what...I'll check it out and see what is going on with it. I did and unfortunately found myself a little disappointed by what I was looking at. I was still on the depressed side and was actually about to take a chance at trying for it until I talked to my father about things. So, a couple of days later, we happened to be driving down the road and saw something that I hadn't seen earlier. A sign was out in the front yard of a cute vinyl sided house and we decided to take a look. I thought to myself, "yeah, right...like I'l ever see myself in this place!". But, my father insisted I call.
Not being a rebellious son, I did and the process began. Only there was something different about this process. When we met with the lady who would show me through this house she said something that I didn't originally know, she said, "I only show this house to people who have been pre-approved and are good to go". I looked at her skeptically and said, "Are you serious?". She reassured me that she was and told me to take my time looking around at the home. I liked what I saw. I asked her how long I had to make my decision as I still wasn't sure about my finances and wanted to find out how much I was going to pay per month. She told me that she would find out everything I needed to know and gave me the name of a contact.
Well, I wasted no time and started the process. I made very clear how much I could afford per month and let the contacts do the math. Not only did I receive a lower number than I was expecting by far, I couldn't believe that I could get into a home as nice as this and be paying less than what I would for an apartment! Now, bear in mind the house was originally built in the 50's and yes, Ohio has a bad habit of changing weather conditions on a dime in general. But this house had definitely held up nicely through the years. I have a strong work ethic and knew it wouldn't take much to get the house looking the way I wanted it. It had all the amenities I needed and then some. It had three bedrooms and a bathroom which was just what I wanted. Not needed mind you, but wanted. Needless to say, that wasn't something I was able to find everywhere I went. It had plenty of closet space for me, the plumbing was in proper order and the kitchen was terrific!
The only thing that I was a little concerned about was the neighborhood. I simply didn't know what to expect from the neighbors and having come from an area where there were very few residents, privacy was a concern. Well, rest assured, my neighbors introduced themselves the day I began moving in. They welcomed me to the neighborhood and expressed their interest in my move. They reassured me that the neighborhood was peaceful and that they all watched out for each other. I was told that if there was anything I needed, I could ask anytime.
Now, bear in mind, my job doesn't always allow me a lot of time to spend at home, but when I do come home, I do so knowing that my home is in good condition and just the way I left it. Being a homeowner is quite a change for me, but it is hard to express just how happy I am knowing that the house I am in is mine. It will take a little time to revamp a couple of areas that I feel will better accommodate some of my needs and wants, but this was something I had accounted for long before I signed the paperwork. In conclusion, I just want to thank all those responsible for helping me get into this house, and express my appreciation for being upfront with me with any questions I have had. I enjoy my home and look forward to the years ahead living in it.
Respectfully submitted,

Rita,
I would like to thank you and your company for helping my husband and I purchase our dream home. You made the transition easy and affordable, we moved in our neighborhood because all our friends live nearby, but we have also made new friends with our neighbors. We look forward to coming home each day knowing that we made the best investment thanks to you and your company. I will refer friends and family to your company because I know you will help them get their dream home just like you helped Scott and I.
